“Untuk zona hijau dan kuning sudah diperbolehkan tatap muka, tapi semua keputusannya itu ada di komite sekolah, kepala sekolah, dan kepala dinas,” ujar Nadiem Makarim pada kunjungannya ke SMKN 1 Rote Barat, Kabupaten Rote Ndao, Nusa Tenggara Timur, Rabu.
Meski diperbolehkan kegiatan belajar mengajar secara tatap muda untuk zona hijau dan kuning, hal itu tidak dipaksa karena tergantung orang tua dan harus menerapkan protokol kesehatan yang ketat. Untuk SMK, mata pelajaran praktik diperbolehkan untuk tatap muka.
“Jadi keputusannya ada di daerah bukan di pusat,” kata dia.
Nadiem mengaku khawatir perkembangan pendidikan formal siswa jika tidak bisa belajar dengan baik selama pandemi karena tidak mempunyai akses dan gawai.
“Saya khawatir mereka tidak bisa belajar apa-apa dan tertinggal,” tambah dia.
Untuk itu, dia meminta siswa yang tidak mempunyai gawai bisa belajar di sekolah. Apalagi di Kabupaten Rote Ndao saat ini berstatus zona kuning.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Nadiem juga mengatakan bahwa saat ini kewenangan menggunakan dana Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) ada pada kepala sekolah, termasuk untuk gaji guru honorer maupun membeli gawai yang nantinya bisa dipinjamkan ke siswa.
Kepala SMKN 1 Rote Barat Julius Ndun mengatakan selama pandemi pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring dan tatap muka.
“Kita sempat tatap muka, namun pada pertengahan Oktober lalu ada instruksi dari dinas untuk kembali belajar di rumah,” kata dia.
Selain kendala gawai, jaringan internet di daerah tersebut juga belum merata. Ada beberapa daerah yang belum terjangkau akses internet.
“Solusinya siswa datang ke sekolah untuk mengambil tugas dan mengumpulkannya,” kata dia.
