Di atas meja kliniknya di Kota Culiacan, dokter Rafaela Martinez Terrazas meletakkan setumpuk permohonan dari sejumlah perempuan yang berharap menjadi pasiennya.

“Seorang laki-laki menelepon saya dan berkata, ‘Salah satu gadis saya akan datang menemui Anda. Sekarang dokter, Anda tahu apa yang saya suka. Jangan perhatikan yang dia katakan, untuk itulah saya membayar Anda’,” kata Martinez.
“Saya berkata kepada laki-laki itu untuk menyelesaikan perdebatan itu dengan kekasihnya karena ketika pasien di ruang operasi saya, dia adalah orang yang akan membuat keputusan.”
