Jakarta, BarisanBerita.com,- Niat Menteri Polhukam Mahfud MD untuk mundur, membuat terkejut banyak pihak. Namun, banyak pihak ragu karena dianggap tak bakal berefek pada peraihan suara.
Calon Wakil Presiden nomor urut 3 Mahfud MD, memastikan akan mundur dari jabatannya sebagai menteri di kabinet Joko Widodo (Jokowi)-Ma’ruf Amin dalam waktu dekat.
Penegasan Mahfud MD itu disampaikan kepada para wartawan di panggung kampanye terbuka Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD oleh Partai Hanura di Stadion Dadaha, Kota Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat, Sabtu (27/1/2024).
“Pasti lah (mundur). Pasti itu, saya pasti (mundur),” terang Mahfud kepada wartawan di panggung lokasi kampanye akbar Tasikmalaya, Sabtu (27/1/2024) siang.
Selama ini, tambah Mahfud, dirinya sedang mencari waktu yang pas untuk mundur dari jabatannya saat ini sebagai Menteri Koordinator Bidang Politik, Hukum dan Keamanan Indonesia (Menkopolhukam).
“Saya mundur dari kabinet, menunggu momentum, tunggu momentum. Ya, itu tadi (pasti mundur) nunggu momentum. Pasti (mundur),” tegas Mahfud.
Keputusan yang segera diambil tersebut, tambah Mahfud, untuk memberikan contoh kepada menteri lainnya supaya tak memakai fasilitas negara saat mengampanyekan salah satu pasangan capres cawapres di Pilpres 2024.
Terlebih dirinya saat ini menjadi cawapres pendamping Ganjar Pranowo yang diusung PDIP, PPP, Hanura, dan Perindo.
Direktur Parameter Politik Indonesia (PPI) Adi Prayitno menilai lebih cepat Mahfud mengundurkan diri sebagai Menko Polhukam akan semakin baik. Menurutnya implikasi positif yang akan muncul jika Mahfud mundur akan luar biasa.
“Saya kira politik itu soal momentum, terutama momentum untuk mendapatkan sentimen positif dan dukungan publik secara luas. Lalu kapan waktu yang tepat Mahfud untuk mundur? Lebih cepat lebih baik. Saat ini adalah waktu yang pas bagi Mahfud untuk segera mengumumkan sikap mundurnya dari kabinet Pak Jokowi. Implikasi positifnya saya kira luar biasa,” kata Adi saat dihubungi, Jumat (26/1/2024).
Namun, Guru besar ilmu politik dari Universitas Andalas, Asrinaldi, mengatakan rencana Mahfud MD mundur dari jabatannya sebagai Menteri Koordinator bidang Politik, Hukum dan Keamanan (Menko Polhukam), sudah terlambat. Tapi meskipun terlambat, Asrinaldi menilai hal itu perlu dilakukan karena sulit memisahkan antara kepentingan sebagai pejabat publik dan kepentingan pribadi yang sedang ikut kontestasi politik Pilpres 2024.
“Saya katakan ini terlambat tapi kan karena sudah gelisah di akar rumput, jadi ini baik walau terlambat. Ini tetap saja bisa mendongkrak simpati publik. Karena sudah nampak sekali keberpihakannya,” kata Asrinaldi,
Walau ada aturan dan mekanisme kampanye ketika cuti, Asrinaldi menilai sangat sulit memisahkan kepentingan pribadi dengan kepentingan sebagai pemimpi rakyat. Apalagi, akhir-akhir ini lanjut Asrinaldi sangat gamblang terjadi keberpihakan pejabat publik terhadap paslon tertentu.
