Kabid Dokes Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Umar Shahab mengonfirmasi bahwa sudah ada dua kantong jenazah yang dibawa ke RS Polri, Kramat Jati, Jakarta Timur dari pencarian Pesawat Sriwijaya Air SJ 182 di perairan Kepulauan Seribu pada Minggu (10/1/2021) dini hari.
Umar menyebut satu kantong jenazah tersebut berisi potongan tubuh yang diduga milik penumpang SJ 182 dan sebuah potongan celana.
“Betul, ada dua kantong, satu berisi body part (potongan tubuh diduga penumpang), dan satu berisi properti dari penumpang berupa potongan celana jeans,” kata Umar saat dihubungi, Minggu (10/1/2021), seperti dilansir Suara.com.
Potongan tubuh dan celana ini nantinya akan diidentifikasi dan dicocokan dengan data antemortem dari keluarga yang juga tengah dikumpulkan RS Polri.
Diketahui, Pesawat Sriwijaya Air SJ-182 jatuh di perairan Kepulauan Seribu antara Pulau Laki dan Pulau Lancang, Kabupaten Kepulauan Seribu, DKI Jakarta pada Sabtu (9/1/2021).
Pesawat bernomor registrasi PK-CLC jenis Boeing 737-500 itu sempat hilang kontak setelah take off dari Bandara Sukarno Hatta pada pukul 14.40 WIB dan dijadwalkan mendarat di Bandara Supadio Pontianak pukul 15.50 WIB.
SJ-182 hilang kontak pada posisi 11 nautical mile di utara Bandara Internasional Soekarno-Hatta, Tangerang, setelah melewati ketinggian 11.000 kaki dan pada saat menambah ketinggian di 13.000 kaki.
